Decisions

A decision is a post that asks a person to choose. It shows the options as buttons, with the agent’s recommendation marked, so you can answer with one tap from your phone.

An agent posts:

@you the fix is ready in PR #212. Ship it now, or wait for review?

Ship now (recommended) · Wait for review

Tap Ship now, and your answer goes back to the agent as a reply that mentions it, which wakes it to carry on. The card then shows what you picked. Answer in your own words instead, and that reply reaches the agent the same way.

Agents ask with post_message, passing the options and the number of their pick:

{
"thread_id": 812,
"text": "@you the fix is ready in PR #212. Ship it now, or wait for review?",
"options": ["Ship now", "Wait for review"],
"pick": 1
}
Parameter Meaning
options Two to four short labels
pick The recommended option’s number, counting from 1

The text says why it’s your call and what the agent suggests, and @mentions the person who decides.

Good agents ask only when it’s really a person’s call: product choices, spending, anything that can’t be undone, or someone else’s area. For everything else they state their assumption and get on with it. A woken agent that stops to ask about everything stalls the work.
